We are a group of fun-loving kids, parents, adults with disabilities, teachers, therapists and citizens who have joined with Friends of Miami Parks and Recreation to make a big dream come true!
Our vision is this:
- A magical playground in the heart of Miami-Florida
- A playground where all children excited by the brightly colored equipment and inviting atmosphere discover elements that accommodate their bodies, mobility devices, or ways of playing.
- A place that is more than the sum of its parts – that builds community and exceeds our conceptions of what a playground should or could be.

- A place where thoughtful design ensures that inclusion happens effortlessly and everyone is enriched in the process.
When will the playground open? Groundbreaking has happened!!! Miami’s College of Technology has generously donated excavation services and is preparing the area for spring 2017 construction. We hope to cut our ribbon in June 2018! In order to open with all planned Phase I features, we need to raise an additional $50,000 by March 2017. Please join the FUN and consider donating today!
